Proposing a new Spring Extension

Got a hot idea for a new Spring Extension? Then you're in the right place, but first...

Find out if it already exists

Before you go ahead and suggest a new extension, check out the list of existing Extensions to see if one already exists. Optionally, you might also want to check out the Spring Extensions forums to see if an extension similar to yours is already being discussed. If the extension does not exist and you're ready to take things to the next level it's time to...

Fill out a proposal

To get the process rolling we need some details about the extension you are proposing. To make sure we get as much information as possible, please fill out an extension proposal pack and then move to stage 3...

Email your completed proposal in to SpringSource

The last step is to send your completed proposal form to extensions@springsource.com, remembering to put "Proposing a new extension: <name of the new extension here>" in the subject line.

What's next?

After you've submitted your proposal we'll contact you in due course to either explain why we won't be making your project into a Spring Extension, or to begin the formal process of getting your project started in our incubator.
