Project Status: Live (what does this mean?)

Welcome to the Spring Python extension project. Spring Python is an implementation of the same programming model that inspired the original Spring Framework and Spring.NET, targeted for Python.

At its heart, this project has two primary goals:

1. To make as many features as possible that are available in Spring framework also available in Spring Python
2. To make it possible for Java developers already familiar with Spring able to migrate as easily as possible to Spring Python.

Spring has a reputation for giving users choices about picking what other frameworks to integrate with, and Spring Python strives to integrate with established Python frameworks as well.

The current stable release of Spring Python is 1.2.0-Release and can be downloaded from the Download Center. The latest development is 1.3.x, and can only be downloaded in source form.
