Cloud Foundry, a new open Platform as a Service

VMware just announced Cloud Foundry, which breaks new ground in PaaS by supporting a choice of programming models, a choice of services from VMware and third parties, a choice of clouds for deployment, and availability in open source. Rod Johnson explains all the details and there are tons of Spring and Grails examples already available. SpringSource Tool Suite 2.6.0 Released
We are pleased to announce the new release 2.6.0 of the SpringSource Tool Suite with highlights including all 2.6.2.SR1 updates, Roo Plug-in Manager, content Assist, Quick Fixes and Refactorings for @Autowired, @Qualifier, @RequestMapping, a new graphical editor for Spring Web Flow and a lot of new features and performance improvements for Groovy + Grails tooling.

Spring Data JDBC Extensions with Oracle Database Support 1.0.0.M1 Released
We are pleased to announce that the first milestone release of the Spring Data JDBC Extensions 1.0 project with Oracle Database support is now available, providing additional support for vendor specific JDBC extensions.

RabbitMQ 2.4 is Now Available
The RabbitMQ team announces the latest release, RabbitMQ 2.4, fixing a number of bugs and introducing some enhancements, including fast routing for topic exchanges, sender-selected distribution and server-side consumer cancellation notifications. Spring AMQP 1.0 Release Candidate 1
We are pleased to announce that Spring AMQP 1.0 for Java RC1 is now available for download. The JARs are available in the SpringSource Milestone Maven repository. Other resources including Java and .NET downloads, reference manual, API documentation, issue tracking and Changelog are available on the Spring AMQP Homepage. Please try it out as we would like to get as much feedback as possible to help drive toward GA.

Spring Data Graph – Neo4j Support 1.0.0.M5 Released
We are pleased to announce that new milestone releases of the Spring Data Graph 1.0 project with Neo4j support are now available, the new version including many new features and tracking the latest version of Neo4j, itself. Neo4j is one of the many new specialized datastores available to developers today. Neo4j models data as relationships and nodes. Spring Data JPA 1.0.0.M2 Released
The second milestone release of the Spring Data JPA project is now available. This release includes support for Querydsl predicates, validation of @Query annotated queries at bootstrap time, support for XML-based entity mapping, support for Distinct, In and NotIn keywords in query methods, ported Hades extensions into spring Data Commons core and various bugfixes.

Extending Spring Social’s Service Provider Framework
Read Craig Walls latest blog post showing you how to extend the service provider framework to handle connections to providers that aren’t directly supported by Spring Social, in this case, he shares an example integration with the Netflix API.
