vFabric tc Server 2.1 Updates: Spring Insight is included with tc Server 2.1 and Enhanced Templating

This latest release of vFabric tc Server 2.1 includes Spring Insight, delivering real-time visibility into application behavior and performance for Spring applications during development and pre-production. Also included is Enhanced Templating providing a built-in template mechanism to simplify configuration of vFabric tc Server with the vFabric GemFire HTTP Session Management and Hibernate Cache Modules. These features will be highlighted during a webinar on January 12 (see story below).

vFabric GemFire 6.5 Adds Two New Modules for Integration with tc Server and Hibernate

The latest release of vFabric GemFire 6.5 adds a vFabric GemFire HTTP Session Management Module to offload and manage HTTP session state for tc Server or Tomcat server--it is pre-configured and automatically launches with tc Server and is useful for web applications handling many requests and needing to scale-out. The vFabric GemFire Hibernate Cache Module provides fast, scalable, distributed L2 caching for Hibernate. Read the latest blog post by Jags Ramnarayan for more information.

Spring GemFire Integration 1.0.0.M2 Released

The second milestone release of the Spring GemFire Integration 1.0 project is out! The Spring GemFire Integration project is intended to make it easier to build Spring-powered, highly scalable applications using GemFire as a distributed data management plaform.

Spring Integration 2.0 GA Released

In late November, Mark Fisher announced that Spring Integration 2.0 is now GA. The 'What's New in Spring Integration 2.0?' section in the reference manual serves as a great starting point for existing 1.0 users and provides several links where new features are explained in detail. vFabric Hyperic 4.5 Adds Important Monitoring Capabilities

This release of vFabric Hyperic 4.5 adds a new GemFire monitoring plug-in and a RabbitMQ monitoring plug-in, both of which enable application operations teams to better manage the performance of GemFire and/or RabbitMQ, ensuring that either application is available and performing, providing information to rapidly address outages and report on SLAs. Additionally, Zimbra email and collaboration appliances now ship with vFabric Hyperic pre-installed, giving Zimbra admins instant visibility required to pinpoint, correct, and prevent Zimbra performance problems.

Groovy Debug Support in New STS 2.5.1 Release

We are pleased to announce the release of SpringSource Tool Suite (STS) 2.5.1 which includes new features to make Spring Roo 1.1.0 Release even more powerful, support for tc Server 2.1--including Spring Insight, Grails project deployment directly to tc Server from within STS, enhancements for debugging Groovy code and JDT weaving enabled by default.

Spring Mobile 1.0.0.M2 & Android 1.0.0.M1 Released

We are pleased to announce new releases of the Spring Mobile and Spring Android projects.

- Spring Mobile 1.0.0.M2 provides extensions to Spring MVC for cross-platform mobile web application development. This release also supports server-side device detection.

- Spring Android 1.0.0.M1 supports use of the Spring Framework and offers Rest Template support with a robust REST client for native Android applications.

Spring LDAP 1.3.1 Released

We are pleased to announce that Spring LDAP version 1.3.1 has been released, adding a new LDIF parsing library, an Object-Directory Mapping (ODM) framework, and fixes for a few problems that were in 1.3.0.
