Spring 3.0.5 Released

We are excited to announce the most recent release of Spring. The Spring development framework helps developers build high quality applications faster and provides a range of capabilities for creating enterprise Java, rich web, and enterprise integration applications that can be consumed in a lightweight, a-la-carte manner.

The recent release, Spring 3.0.5,  addresses over 80 minor issues and small improvements to the Spring Expression Language (SpEL), annotation support, and embedded databases. Read the Change Log for more details.

Spring Social 1.0.0.M1 Available for Download

We are pleased to announce the first milestone release of Spring Social 1.0 is now available for download. Spring Social 1.0.0M1 is an extension of the Spring Framework, enabling development of social-ready applications. With Spring Social, you can create applications that interact with social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Tripit.

SpringSource Tool Suite (STS) 2.5.1 Release Now Available

We are pleased to announce the release of SpringSource Tool Suite (STS) 2.5.1, which includes support for VMware vFabric tc Server 2.1 (including Spring Insight), instant deployment of Grails projects directly to tc Server from within STS, enhancements for debugging Groovy code and JDT weaving by default. Spring Security 3.0.4 Available for Download

We are pleased to announce the release of Spring Security 3.0.4. The release provides a fix for the vulnerability CVE-2010-3700. For users who have not yet upgraded to Spring Security 3, there is also a 2.0.6 release available. The full list of issues addressed can be found in the changelog.

SpringOne 2GX Video Available

SpringOne 2GX 2010 in Chicago was bigger and better than ever and covered tons of important technical announcements. Media sponsor InfoQ was on hand to capture so many of the great presentations and provided fantastic coverage for the show. Now available are:

  • Rod Johnson’s Opening Keynote was the highlight of the show where Rod discussed the future of Spring along with a collection of other topics. The first official release of Virgo, 2.1.0.RELEASE is available for download. Gemini Web, used by Virgo, is also released at 1.0.0.RELEASE and available for download. Spring
Spring Python 1.2.0RC1 is now available for download. Spring Python takes the concepts implemented by the Spring Framework, and applies them in Python. It includes features like dependency injection, aspect oriented programming, data access, transactions, security, remoting, and JMS support.
