We've just released Spring Roo Alpha 2, along with an upgrade to the SpringSource Tool Suite (STS) Roo plugin. We've also recently published an introduction to Roo blog entry for those looking for a high-level overview of our exciting new Java productivity tool. Alpha 2 corrects a few issues found in Alpha 1, particularly connected with Windows support. The upgraded STS Roo plugin also features an excellent new feature: CTRL+R (or Apple+R) access to the Roo shell from any text editor. So now you can be in the middle of editing a Java source file, hit CTRL+R and then enter a Roo command. So now using Roo commands is even easier and more convenient for Java developers. Don't forget that STS will be made freely available on Thursday 7 May 2009.
