Building Spring 2.0 from source
Juergen -- is it correct, as in the changelog, that spring 2.0 must be built using jdk 1.5 ? We use websphere, so still on JDK 1.4, and have a company policy of building all open source from source for reuse in applications. If spring 2.0 needs to be built with jdk 1.5 we would need to do some special things with our build procedures to have just this project built with jdk 1.5 -- so I'm interested to know the answer.
If spring is built with jdk 1.5 are there any known issues with running this in a jdk 1.4 vm ?
Need Lighweight Documentation
Standard reference in PDF contains 10 Hibernate-related pages . Only 4 pages indeed are Spring-Hibernate-specific; the rest is Transaction management, isolated from Hibernate, thanks to Spring! It should be in a different chapter.
