"Certification of Spring by Interface21 on WebSphere Application Server Community Edition provides our customers with additional confidence in their decision to utilize the Spring framework to build applications”, said Scott Cosby, Gluecode transition executive, IBM WebSphere Software. Many customers and partners adopting open source application servers are looking to simplify application development and quickly build Java apps that conform to the Java standards, and Spring is a excellent option.” "Today’s announcement is the result of ongoing work involving Interface21 engineers and the WAS CE and Geronimo teams to optimize the experience of using Spring on these platforms" said Rod Johnson, founder of the Spring Framework and CEO of Interface21, "We believe that many Spring Framework users will benefit from the option of WAS CE and Geronimo as supported deployment platforms.
