We are very pleased to announce that Spring Integration 2.1 Milestone 1 has been released.

The themes of version 2.1 are big data, vFabric and Cloud Foundry services. Therefore, among the 93 issues addressed in this milestone, the key new features are:

1. AMQP/RabbitMQ: inbound and outbound adapters (one-way and request/reply)
2. GemFire: MessageStore, Cache writing and listening adapters, and Continuous Queries driving inbound Messages
3. Redis: MessageStore, Pub/Sub messaging adapters, and Pub/Sub-backed Message Channel
4. MongoDB: MessageStore

The various Message Store implementations can be used to back buffering Message Channels, Claim Check transformers, or Aggregators and Resequencers. They are all implementing the same strategies and therefore interchangeable (particularly nice when using different Cloud Foundry services).
