I'm pleased to announce that Spring Framework 2.5 RC2 has been released! This is the second release candidate for Spring 2.5, introducing various feature refinements, performance improvements as well as fixes for bugs that have been reported against RC1.

The 2.5 final release is scheduled for November 19th. Please test RC2 in your applications and let us know about potential regressions or conflicts with third-party software. We'll do our best to address such issues in time for the final release.

FYI, a 2.0.8 maintenance release is scheduled for December, backporting various fixes from the 2.5 branch. 2.0.8 candidate snapshots are already available, waiting for you to give them a test drive in your Spring 2.0.x based applications:
